How To Use A Material Lift

The use of material lift has gained popularity in recent years, and it has also attracted many employees. Construction elevators are a highly technical industry and therefore require practitioners to acquire certain professional knowledge. The following is related to the operation of construction lifts, hoping to help you.

One: Preparation before use

  The construction elevator driver shall hold a qualification certificate for special operation of building construction and shall not operate without a permit.

  The use unit shall make written security technical disclosures for the construction lift drivers, and the information submitted shall be retained for future reference.

  The use unit shall fully lubricate the parts to be lubricated according to the requirements of the instruction manual.

Two: Operation use

  Do not use faulty construction hoists.

  It is forbidden to use the anti-fall safety device that exceeds the effective standard for construction lifts.

 The rated load of the construction lift and the number of occupants for the occupant shall be placed in a conspicuous position in the hanging cage. It is strictly forbidden to use the construction hoist beyond the rated load or the number of occupants.

 The deviation of the supply voltage value from the rated value of the construction hoist exceeds ±5%. When the total power of the power supply is less than the specified value of the construction elevator, the construction elevator shall not be used.

 Clear safety warning signs should be set within the scope of construction lift operation, and safety protection should be done in the centralized operation area.

  When the building exceeds 2 floors, a protective shelter shall be erected above the floor of the construction lift. When the height of a building exceeds 24m, a double shelter shall be provided.

  The use unit should take appropriate safety precautions for construction lifts according to different construction stages, surrounding environment, season and climate.

 The using unit shall set up a corresponding equipment management institution or a full-time equipment management personnel on site, and designate full-time equipment management personnel and full-time safety production management personnel to conduct supervision and inspection.

  When heavy rain, heavy snow, heavy fog, wind speed of the top of the construction hoist is greater than 20m/s, or guide rails and ice layers are formed on the surface of the cable, the construction hoist shall not be used.

  It is forbidden to use the travel limit switch as a stop switch.

  During use, the use of the unit should be based on the requirements of the instructions for the construction of the lift regularly maintained.

  Within a horizontal distance of 5m from the perimeter of the construction lift foundation, trenches shall not be excavated, and flammable and explosive materials and other debris shall not be piled.

  There must be no obstructions in the construction lift operation channel. Do not use the guide rails of the construction lifts, horizontal support, landing stations, etc. to pull or hang scaffolds, construction pipes, rope slogans, flags, etc.

  When the construction elevator is installed in the internal shaft of a building, a closed barrier shall be erected around the running channel.

  For construction lifts installed in dark places or night shifts, bright floor number marking lights should be installed throughout the journey. At night construction, there should be sufficient lighting in the work area, and the lighting should meet the requirements of the current industry standard “Safety Specifications for Temporary Power Supply at the Construction Site” JGJ 46.

  Construction hoists must not use peeling, bare wires, cables.

  Construction lift cage floor should be kept clean and tidy. There shall be no long-term stacking of articles in the access areas of each floor.

  Lift drivers are strictly prohibited from drinking after work. During the working hours, the driver should not gossip with other people and should not obstruct the operation of the lift.

  Construction lift drivers shall abide by safety procedures and safety management systems.

  For construction lifts with multiple shifts, the shift shift system should be implemented. The shift driver should fill in the shift schedule according to Appendix D of this regulation. The succession driver should carry out the pre-class inspection and confirm the correctness before starting the operation.

  Before the construction elevator is used for the first time every day, the driver shall lift the cage from the ground by 1m to 2m to check the reliability of the brake. When problems are found, they must be repaired before they can be shipped.

  The construction lift shall be subjected to an overload test of 1.25 times the rated weight every 3 months to ensure that the brake performance is safe and reliable.

  Drivers are not allowed to leave the construction lifts during working hours. When there are special circumstances that need to be left, the construction elevator should be stopped at the lowest level, and the power supply should be turned off and the door of the hanging cage locked.

  When operating the hand-operated construction hoist, the lift shall not be started or stopped by an electromechanical interlock. 5.2.25 The landing door bolt should be set on the side of the construction elevator and the landing door should be normally closed. Without the permission of the construction lift driver, the landing doors cannot be opened or closed.

  The special switch boxes for construction elevators should be installed near the guide rails for easy operation. The power distribution capacity should meet the requirements for direct start-up of the construction elevators.

  During the use of construction lifts, the size of the materials to be transported should not exceed the limit of the cage.

  Bulk materials should be packed into containers, bundled, or bagged in fabric bags. The load should be distributed evenly when stacked.

  When carrying molten asphalt, strong acids, alkalis, solutions, flammable materials or other special materials, the relevant technical departments should do a good job in risk assessment and take safety measures. They should be transported to the construction lift driver and related operators before they are written to the bottom.

  When using handling machinery to move materials into the construction lift cage, the handling machinery must not collide with the construction lift. When unloading, the material should be placed slowly.

  When the transport trolley enters the cage, the concentrated load at the wheel shall not be greater than the allowable bearing capacity of the bottom of the cage and the floor of the landing.
